How we deliver on our values every single day
Quality of Life
Care plans are person centred using life history and the goals of our residents. Routines are used but with real choices and careful planning and consideration for each individual. There is access to numerous groups and clubs in the Harrogate area ensuring safe and social outings and gatherings for our residents.
Professional Excellence
We deliver safe, evidence-based care (medication management, nutrition, mobility support) always following procedures, policies and regulations. We pride ourselves that our staff are trained to the highest standards with all staff achieving a diploma in social care, following initial induction, and some who are at degree level.
Positive Environment
All of our homes are like any typical family home with a warm inviting feel and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Many of our residents have lived in our homes for 20 plus years and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. They really are homes for life.
Continuous Improvement
Social care is always changing and we, as a provider, endeavour to keep up. We use electronic equipment for care records, medication etc. We have recently purchased a very large (65inch) interactive tablet that can be used vertically or as a tabletop. It has a multitude of games, sensory apps etc and can be used for the internet to “facetime” families, send emails and photos, watch movies, listen to music, sing on the karaoke as well as many other fun applications. Staff regularly receive face to face training to keep them compliant in all required areas of health and social care thus improving their skills as care givers.
